Fruity, Intense Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a very balanced bitter spicy olive oil with a nice green almonds aftertaste together with notes of green tomatoes. Dominus Riserva is extracted from Ravece cultivar, and from olives hand picked a few hours before milling in the state of the art family’s mill.
AREA
After wine, Irpina receives attention from more demanding consumers for its precious oils, and is gaining increasing support in the markets. Irpina oils are the result of perfect harmony between the environment, diversity, entrepreneurship and tradition, which in the area is very ancient. In fact, the presence of the olive tree dates back to Ancient Roman times, as is widely documented by numerous findings, even if the greatest diffusion of the tree occurred in Anjou, and then consolidated in the Aragonese region.
The first Irpina oil for which there has been a request for Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) status is for the Irpina extra virgin olive (Colline dell'Ufita), but more requests are being worked on for other valuable oils of the province. One of the specifications of the DOP request is the Ravece cultivar, considered a symbol of quality olive cultivation production. The area is comprised of 31 comunes of Arianese, Ufita and Media Valle del Calore, where the oleification operations must take place in the internal zone of the olive production.
